When to use this tool
Use this worksheet to keep a first money-planning discussion focused on one question. It gives you a place to distinguish shared information from private information, note responsibilities, and leave unanswered topics for a later discussion. It does not choose a contribution rule or an account-ownership arrangement for you.
Connect it to the decision
The shared-versus-separate guide explains why multiple sign-ins and selective visibility are different. After the conversation, the joint-budget template can turn the agreed shared scope into a planning record.

Questions to resolve
- Do my worksheet answers become site content?
No. The tool uses your entries in browser memory. Use the explicit print or export action if you want a copy, and reset to clear the workspace.
- What does a blank amount or answer mean?
Blank means not entered or unknown. Use zero only when that is the actual amount you intend; the calculation asks for required inputs instead of silently assuming them.
