Budgeting together starts with a choice about information. You can plan joint costs while keeping individual records separate, or choose a more complete shared view. Decide the boundary before connecting accounts. The catalog can help you inspect household functions, current access, and billing; it does not determine which contribution or account arrangement is right for you.
Use the hub for the decision
Use the shared-versus-separate guide to define the view. Build a small plan with the joint-budget template after agreeing on a period and responsibilities. Before relying on an application, inspect invitation authority, visibility, exporting, and how either person leaves. A budget is a planning record; ownership, tax, debt, and legal decisions have their own appropriate sources of guidance.

Questions to resolve
- Does shared budgeting require joint bank accounts?
A shared planning record and legal bank-account ownership are different things. This hub explains information workflows; it does not recommend an ownership arrangement.
- Are multiple sign-ins proof of private categories?
No. Separate sign-ins can still expose a complete shared view. Selective visibility needs documented support for the actual offer.
- How do I compare continuing access and shared features?
Inspect the exact offer and the documented sharing arrangement. Continuing unpaid access, paid features, trials, device limits, and participant seats are separate facts; unknown values stay visible.
